ATLAS
COLLECTIBLE FIREARMS

Atlas Collectible Firearms is profoundly honored to present an extraordinary, museum-grade masterpiece of Belgian rimfire craftsmanship: an original 1953 Belgian FN Browning Trombone slide-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured in 1953 as confirmed by serial number 77222 sharply rollmarked on the lower receiver frame, this 22-inch round-barrel takeaway rifle features a high-gloss blued barrel with factory sporting sights. Elevating this classic Browning design to true heirloom-tier investment status, it features extreme high-grade expert master engraving executed and signed "A BEE" on the left side of the receiver by world-renowned FN Master Engraver Angelo Bee, who began his career at FN at age 16 and served as a factory engraver from 1950 to 1975. Displaying breathtaking artistic relief, the satin coin-finished action features detailed game scene vignettes surrounded by intricately shaded foliate scrollwork. The left side panel depicts a relief-engraved fox carrying a pheasant through a wooded landscape, the right side shows a hunting hound tracking game on the trail, and the top receiver panel illustrates a songbird perched gracefully on a branch. Elegant foliate scroll flourishes extend across the smooth steel buttplate, the breech and muzzle ends of the barrel, the receiver bottom, and the trigger guard, framed by fancy serpentine borders along the sideplates. Stocked in presentation-grade, highly figured checkered walnut, the slide handle and round-knob pistol grip buttstock exhibit an extraordinary degree of intense fiddleback flame grain protected beneath a high-gloss finish. The overall cosmetic condition of this Master Engraved FN Browning Trombone remains in very fine condition throughout, with metal surfaces retaining 99% of their rich finish showing only mild, honest staining along the bottom of the action sideplates. The exhibition-grade fiddleback walnut stock set presents in near-excellent condition with no noticeable handling marks and razor-sharp checkering borders. Mechanically, the pump action operates with hand-fitted, liquid-smooth precision, locking up tight with every cycle, while the 22-inch barrel preserves a very good, bright bore with sharp, crisp rifling lines throughout.
